Bespoke Completely Customizable Eyewear from Tom Davies
Tom Davies Bespoke Frame points

Spot the Difference . . .
Tom Davies points out five places where made-to-order could matter

1. Davies says that Americans' ears are typically set about 10mm farther back than Europeans, necessitating longer arms.
2. Yankee skulls are, on average, 20mm wider than Europeans' requiring broader fronts.
3. Minorities often have problems with the fit of the bridge on off-the-rack glasses.
4. Every pair of TD Tom Davies eyeglasses is personalized with the customer's name.
5. Frames can be made in five dozen colors to complement skin tone and suit taste. This pair is a very dark blue; Davies deemed black "too harsh".

Tom Davies Frames

British Eyewear designer Tom Davies offers Bespoke eyewear, a completely customized service that makes eyewear to order. The opticians at Specs Around Town takes a sophisticated series of simple measurements based on width, eye size and temple width and length. Colors and materials and even the screw types and colors can be altered. Within three weeks, the individual receives a tailor-made frame with his or her name discreetly laser engraved on the temple interior.
PHILOSOPHY:
“Why compromise when it comes to glasses? Bespoke spectacles and sunglasses fit perfectly because they are expressly designed and handmade to suite a person’s face, coloring, physical characteristics and lifestyle,” says Tom Davies.

Gold & Wood is a gateway to a world of subtle luxury, where the quality and opulence of the materials and workmanship speak for themselves.

Luxury is best expressed in a certain style, a certain talent, a certain rare quality that gives you a daily elegance that is quite unique.

Gold & Wood employs numerous varieties of precious woods which are fashioned according to an innovative and exclusive process. The final polishing step is what fully reveals the beauty of the materials - the velvet-smooth touch of wood or graining and shine of horn.

In their list of people who wear them (!) we found Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lopez and the Sultan of Brunei.

Gold & Wood uses wood taken from authorized and supervised plantations and buffalo horn from cattle that are not harmed in the process, with their horns growing back.
